Makiko Ueno is a Tokyo born movie actress, TV actress, singer and gravure idol with, IMHO, a softer visage than many.
Makiko Ueno (also known as Yuki Hosino, Makiko Uehara) got into the world of show business after being scouted by an agent in her hometown. She debuted in 1989 with the single Koibitotachi no Nagai Yoru on the Warner Music Japan label under the name Hoshino Yuki. In 1993, she changed her name back to Mariko Ueno and began to star in movies, doramas (Japanese television dramas) and photobooks. In 2000, she changed her name once again to Makiko Uehara, and still acts and is still quite lovely.
